member Dan Rice gives an update from the park

March 6, 2011

Email from Dan Rice:

Gentlemen,     Just a quick note.  Sr 150 (the road between Chelan and Manson) is closed until May 2nd.  One of you might want to put a note on the webpage to warn the early arrivals that they may want to exit SR 150 at Boyd RD and take the back way into the park. I think it would be safer than getting stuck in traffic and have to back up their trailers or motor homes on that windy roads. Some days its down to one lane and some days its closed completely. They are putting up steel netting at falling cow corner.  I’ve been working out at the park cleaning up broken branches, there were hundreds of them, but I had to stop hauling them to the pile because the road is so soft. I almost got stuck and Bob and Mary Lynch came and helped for a couple of days and he almost got stuck so we stopped. Lots of leaves to rake ….
